My journey into bookkeeping began many years ago when I managed the accounts for my own business. As time went on, people around me started asking for help with their bookkeeping too, and I realised how much I genuinely enjoyed this work. That inspired me to study AAT Accounting and turn a long‑held idea into a real profession.
 

Volunteering in a practice gave me valuable hands‑on experience with sole traders and small companies, and later I joined a business with a small finance team, where I gained broad, practical knowledge in day‑to‑day accounting. These experiences strengthened my confidence and encouraged me to establish my own practice.
 

Today, as an AAT Qualified Bookkeeper, I’m grateful to work in a field that truly feels like my calling — supporting people, keeping their businesses financially organised, and doing work that I genuinely love.
